We are thrilled to announce that the Baltimore City Child Care Resource Center (BCCCRC) is now officially a part of The Family Tree family of programs and services! BCCCRC opened its doors approximately 30 years ago and has operated as a program of the Maryland Family Network and its legacy agencies since that time. Now, with The Family Tree as its new sponsoring agency, we are so excited to welcome the amazing people behind BCCCRC, adding their passion and expertise to our efforts to Raise Families Up!
“The Family Tree is thrilled and honored to build upon the hard work, dedication, and achievements of the BCCCRC,” Patricia K. Cronin, Executive Director of The Family Tree said. “We will continue to work closely with the parents, providers, and professionals in Baltimore City’s child care community to ensure that every child has quality care where they can thrive.”
“This is a win-win for the children, families, and providers in Baltimore City. The Family Tree is widely identified as a Baltimore-based child abuse prevention organization with an admirable track record of working with City and State agencies, public and private funders, and community partners throughout the region,” Margaret E. Williams, Executive Director of Maryland Family Network said. “The Family Tree provides early childhood, behavioral health, home visiting, and other support services and programs that directly align with the child care training and capacity-building services offered by BCCCRC, making it a natural fit.”
MFN is the coordinating agency of the 12 Child Care Resource Centers operating across the state. Child Care Resource Centers work to improve the quality, availability, and affordability of child care in communities. Each Child Care Resource Center also provides training and technical assistance to local child care providers. This professional development is essential to make sure that the child care offered in each of the state’s jurisdictions is of the highest quality possible.
