Launch of The Family Tree’s Online Parenting Education

With the Coronavirus pandemic keeping us at home, parents are in need of support now more than ever. In response, The Family Tree’s Parenting Education staff are getting creative and using online tools to empower parents at home in several different ways, including live parenting classes on Zoom, on-demand video workshops that are available at anytime, along with a whole host of articles written to address families’ most urgent needs.

Live Parenting Classes on Zoom

Our Parenting Ed Facilitators have been hard at work updating their class curriculum for the virtual space, making sure parents can be engaged and continue to learn as a connected, vibrant group within the setting of a live Zoom experience. This week marks the launch of online classes, and we can’t wait to see more beautiful faces of parents throughout Maryland!

Workshop Videos on Demand

In addition to the live classes, staff are creating on-demand “Workshop” videos on a variety of topics. Below, you can watch Ms. Matila Jones’ fantastic insights into how to communicate with teens, a topic that is especially urgent when teens are stuck at home in an emotional environment:

Video Workshop: How to Communicate with Your Teen

And Much More!

This is only the beginning, as we continue to find new ways to support our community during this difficult time. Stay tuned for more videos, blogs, and other resources to share with parents and caregivers. Stay home, and stay safe. We will get through this together.
